Regulations
The Hostel is a non-hotel accommodation facility available to guests that finds, in mutual respect and peaceful coexistence its fundamental value.
Entry into the hostel implies full acceptance of and compliance with these regulations, which may be supplemented or modified separately by additional notes from the Management.
- Cancellation policies and property rules :
To cancel your reservation free of charge, you must do so at least 48 hours before arrival. This policy applies to FLEXIBLE RATES only. If you have booked a PREPAID RATE, you will be charged the full amount of the reservation, regardless of when the cancellation is made.

- Arrivals and departures
Check-in is from 2:00 pm. If you arrive before that time, we have convenient luggage storage: leave your bags and go exploring!
Check-out is scheduled by 10 a.m. Be sure to vacate your room by that time. Luggage can be stored at the front desk free of charge even after check-out. In case of delay, you will be asked to pay an additional fee.
- Online check-in and identification
Lecco Hostel uses the Welcome App to register guests online prior to their arrival at the hostel via self check-in. Through this app, each guest must provide their details and a valid photo ID. Online registration is mandatory and those who do not register before arriving at the hostel will be asked to do so at the front desk.
For each reservation made, the reservationist will receive an e-mail with all the instructions to follow to complete the registration of all guests online before they arrive at the hostel.
To check in at the hostel and receive your room keys, be sure to bring the same ID you reported during online registration.
Guests without a valid ID will not be allowed to check in and the reservation will be cancelled. You will be charged for the first night of the reservation and no refund will be given in this case.
- Prices and fees
All prices are in euros. When referring to BEDROOMS, prices are per person per night, and when referring to PRIVATE ROOMS, prices are per room per night, regardless of the number of people in the room.
Prices do not include tourist tax, which for our hostel is €1.50 per person per night. Sojourn tax will be added to the daily bed/room rate and will be charged at check-in. (Guests under the age of 14 are exempt from the city tax and will need to fill out and sign an exemption statement upon check-in)
Prices are inclusive of VAT.
If the reservation is extended, the rates applied will be those valid on the date the extension is made.
- Payments
The amount due for the reservation must be paid at the time of check-in.
To reserve a bed with us, you must provide credit card information as a guarantee. Lecco Hostel reserves the right to charge the ENTIRE AMOUNT of the reservation in the event of no-show, late cancellation by the guest, or early departure.
Please note that we accept cash, credit card and bank transfer payments.
- Age restrictions
Guests under the age of 18 are not allowed to stay in the dorms, they must book private rooms, even if accompanied by their parents.
In addition, guests under the age of 18 must:
– be accompanied by at least one adult (of legal age)
– present printed and signed parental authorization at check-in, if not traveling with them(Minor Form downloadable here).
– present copies of parental IDs
– show their ID
- Allocation of rooms
Unless you choose a PRIVATE ROOM, the reservation refers to a BED IN A SHARED DORMITORY. Reserving the maximum number of beds in a dormitory does not mean reserving an entire dormitory; beds assigned for reservation may be located in different dorms, depending on availability.
If you are traveling with friends or family, we recommend that you book PRIVATE ROOMS to be guaranteed to stay together.
Please note that we have FEMALE, MALE or MIXED (boys and girls) ROOM BEDS. So be careful when booking your bed and make sure you have chosen the correct dorm type.
- Electronic room keys
Upon check-in, you will be given an electronic key card that will give you access to both the hostel and your room. If you lose your key card, you will be charged €10.00 for replacement.
- Behavior of guests
The comfort, safety and security of our guests are very important to us. Guests who, in the judgment of our staff, compromise the comfort, safety or security of other guests, staff or local residents will be asked to leave the hostel without refund. Guests are expected to respect other guests, staff, local residents and the property.
- Night rest
Please observe the statutory hours of silence, avoiding noise from 10 pm to 7 am. Also when using devices please keep the volume moderate so as not to disturb the rest of other guests.
- Food consumption
For hygienic and safety reasons, food preparation and consumption in the rooms is prohibited (fire alarm installed)
- No smoking/No drugs
The law prohibits smoking inside the hostel as well as drug use.
Guests can smoke in front of the facility, just outside the building.
- Alcohol consumption
We will not serve alcoholic beverages to those under the age of 18.
Guests are not allowed to bring their own alcohol inside the Lecco Hostel; alcoholic beverages must be purchased only at the hostel bar. Alcohol is not allowed inside the dorms.
- Personal property
Each bed has a personal locker inside the dormitory. It is the guest’s responsibility to ensure that personal belongings are safe at all times. Lecco Hostel assumes no responsibility for lost, stolen, or damaged guest belongings. It is recommended that guests bring a padlock to use for luggage and lockers. Padlocks are for sale at the front desk.
- Damage to the property of Lecco Hostel
Guests are required to reimburse Lecco Hostel for any damages caused by inappropriate behavior during their stay. Any amount will be charged to the credit card provided at the time of booking.
- Responsibility
Except in the case of death or personal injury caused by our negligence, Lecco Hostel’s liability shall always remain limited to the value of the services booked.
- Errors and omissions
Any omissions or errors in the sales literature, pages/websites, order form, quote, price list, order confirmation, shipping note, invoice or other documents issued by Lecco Hostel may be corrected by Lecco Hostel without liability. We will inform you of any changes at the time of booking or as soon as reasonably possible.
- Discretion
All reservations are subject to availability and Lecco Hostel reserves the right to decline any reservation at its discretion. The maximum stay, at our facility, may not exceed 15 days even if not continuous.
Persons in an obvious state of mental and physical impairment may not be housed.
- Visitors
Access to the room floor (second floor) is restricted to registered guests only.
People from outside the hostel who have not made a regular reservation are not allowed to enter the hostel.
Entry into rooms other than the assigned room or the room in which the assigned bed is located is not permitted. Even temporary changes of ROOM/BEDS are not permitted unless authorized by the front desk.
- Environmental protection
Please limit your consumption of water and electricity to what is necessary, as well as sort your waste as much as possible by making use of the appropriate containers located on the floors.
- Complaints
Any complaints or disservices should be IMMEDIATELY reported to the front desk staff.
